Imagine if I told you that you were losing about 20% of your business and would lose 10% more every year until you lost about 70% of your customers. Would that cause you to act immediately? If you do not have a mobile compliant website then that is the truth. Don’t take my word for it. Go to Google and look up “how many people use mobile devices to surf the web” and tell me what you find.
Among the many articles you will find here is an interesting quote from MobiThinking.com.
2) Many mobile Web users are mobile-only, i.e. they do not, or very rarely use a desktop, laptop or tablet to access the Web. Even in the US 25 percent of mobile Web users are mobile-only.
• Still think you don’t need a mobile site?
There are several ways to create a mobile compliant website. 2 of these ways require you to build a separate website just for mobile devices. Hopefully they will find your mobile site or be patient enough to wait on your regular website to load to their mobile device to see the mobile link. Remember, this generation is NOT known for their patience.
The other way is to contact us. We can build one website that looks as pretty as can be on a regular computer and auto converts to a mobile phone view. Our method saves you from having to build, buy and maintain two different websites. Our system is smart enough to know when a mobile devices is being used to visit your website. Then, without any intervention from the user it converts automatically. Go head, try it on this website. Just open PAontheweb.net on your mobile device and compare it to what you are seeing on your full screen computer.
All PAontheweb systems come with the ability to add QR Codes. Anyone visiting your website on a desktop or laptop computer can scan the QR Code with their mobile phone and bookmark it so they have it with them no matter where they go.
Imagination is the only limitation. You can use it for a mobile coupon, save the image to your computer and print it out, add it to a business card, rack card or any other print media. One client added it to his Yellow Pages listing. Not that we think you need a Yellow Pages listing anymore.
Print one and put it on the rear or side of your car for advertising. Real Estate Agents put it on your house for sale signs. Take a look at the lower left side of our pages and posts. The QR Code you see is like a mobile bookmark for that individual page or post. Below and to the right in the body of this post is the one from our Home page. If you scan it with your mobile device enabled for QR Codes it will offer you the option to open our home page, bookmark it and other options depending on your mobile device options. If you scan the one on the lower left side of this post it will bookmark this area of our website to your mobile phone.
After years of providing web 2.0 systems for our clients we decided to upgrade our own system at this location. The old system served us well for years. It provided you with information and us with a way to capture your requests to our database. The new system does the same things as our previous system but allows for more interaction. By including a blog you will be able to comment and ask questions of each other as well as us.
We hope you like the new system. It provides a date stamp at the top of each blog post. This is the first one so you know we started this on September 23rd 2011. In some cases a post will be placed at the top and not moved. This is called a “sticky” post. Though the date may be from months or years ago, the information can be kept up to date and may be the first thing we want you to read.
